London Mayor Sadiq Khan told Joe Scarborough Monday on MSNBC that he “worries” about the “perception” people have of America because of President Trump.
From Free Beacon [2]:
“One of the consequences of having a best friend is when you disagree with them, you got to call them out and say, ‘you know what, I think you’re wrong here,'” Khan said [speaking of our two countries “special relationship”].
Khan continued on from discussing the “special relationship” Britain and the United States have to explicitly address Trump.
“We’re under no illusion that your president doesn’t[sic] speak for all Americans. Many, many Americans, the people on a daily basis in London, businesspeople, tourists, students, those who are artists, and many, many others, don’t necessarily agree with the views of your president,” Khan said.
“And why would they?” Khan continued. “In a healthy democracy, you’ll always get people who disagree with the winning candidate.”
The Mayor of London said he was concerned because people in all parts of the world look to America for inspiration and leadership.
“I worry about the perception people will have of your great country because of some of the things that your president may have tweeted or said elsewhere,” Khan said.
Incidentally, Khan’s London is now a global capital for acid attacks [3], with more than 800 such attacks now recorded every year in the UK.

Thousands of girls are being sex trafficked by Pakistani grooming gangs [8] in Rotherham and Telford.
Biggest ever industrial scale child abuse scandal in the U.K. and the BBC hasn’t even reported on it. I wonder why? https://t.co/DCRqROw1h8 [9]

Meanwhile, right-wing citizen journalists are being detained and barred from entering the UK for calling attention to such crimes [11].

Nonetheless, what really worries Khan is Trump’s tweets.
