What do patriots, Christians and sovereign citizens who love what America truly stands for have in common? Lately these groups of people have been seen as dangerous threats to law enforcement personnel and to our great nation.

No joke. A February report titled “The Modern Militia Movement,” issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center deems patriotic Americans threats to law enforcement and to our country. Fusion centers are organizations that help share and gather information for law enforcement to fight crime and terrorism (http://www.ise.gov/pages/partner-fc.html explains them pretty well).

The last page of the report states, “Militia members most commonly associate with third party political groups. It is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitutional Party, Campaign for Liberty, or Libertarian material.” The report goes on to describe members as using anti-government rhetoric, depicting U.S. agencies as the “New World Order,” and some members using anti-immigration and racial material.

Is this a sign that “Big Brother” is beginning to pick out “problem children” when the nosy, overprotective government decides to finally overstep the rights of the people? Who are the real threats to the American way of life: people who love and uphold the law and what America stands for, or those officials who see the patriot use his Constitutional rights as a threat to America? I would not be surprised if this labeling becomes popular in more states soon.

In this report, citizens may be labeled a threat by being opposed to the Federal Reserve, federal income tax, illegal immigration, New World Order, Ammunition Accountability Act and a Constitutional Convention for fear of revoking First and Second Amendment rights.

There’s a problem when the government begins labeling upstanding American citizens as threats to law enforcement and the country for their beliefs. What does this say about our current police state?
