Louder With Crowder

Continuing our coverage of all things dealing with leftist censorship, I give you this tale. Spotify is going full jackbooted fascist with this latest move. They’re partnering with the Southern Poverty Law Center to “filter out” questionable musical content.
Spotify announced their partnership with the SPLC on Thursday, as part of a new policy cracking down on “hate content” and “hateful conduct.”
Spotify defines “hate content” as content “that expressly and principally promotes, advocates, or incites hatred or violence against a group or individual based on characteristics, including, race, religion, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability.”
But the rules will be enforced subjectively, Spotify conceded, stating, “it’s important to remember that cultural standards and sensitivities vary widely. That means there will always be content that is acceptable in some circumstances but is offensive in others, and we will always look at the entire context.
Translated for us non-lefties, you’re still free to use racial epithets, glorify violence, and make misogynist remarks, provided you have the correct melanin content. On the other hand, if you’re a pale-face honky:
I can’t wait to see where this goes. Especially seeing as this is the same SPLC who thinks the Orlando massacre was a “right wing plot.” Methinks pretty soon Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like a Lady” will be getting a red flag for transphobia. “Baby it’s Cold Outside” for its pseudo-rapey vibes. “God Bless the U.S.A.” for being triggeringly pro-American.
The left is trying to pick and choose which music you’re allowed to hear. If a particular ditty doesn’t mesh with their narrative, it might as well not exist. This is the future progressives want. A “utopia” where their ideas are the only ones getting airtime.
