Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is making her boldest pitch yet for her latest socialist pipe dream.

While speaking with activist Ta-Nehisi Coates on Monday at an event honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., the 29-year-old lawmaker appeared to be arguing for racial reparations in America.

“Until America tells the truth about itself, we’re not going to heal,” she said in a clip posted by Grabien’s Tom Elliott.

“When we tell the stories of the mistakes we have made in the past, economically speaking, when we talk about the issue of reparations, people think, you know, people think,” she rambled, clearly struggling to verbalize her thought.

“Reparations for slavery. But really, economically speaking, reparations are for the damage done by the New Deal and red lining,” she added.

After a slight, barely noticeable applause from the audience, Ocasio-Cortez went on to claim that the government at the time “drew red lines” around black communities so that they could not be around white communities.

She claimed white people got “home loans” and access to “the basic bedrock of wealth” for many years to help “white America” benefit over all other communities.

Ocasio-Cortez told the audience that slavery was not “500 years ago” and said that white people today still benefit from privelage.

The 29-year-old socialist rounded out her comments by claiming Germany gave out “reparations” years ago as a way to “heal” communities.

She appeared to be advocating for some form of compensation to the descendants of Africans who had been enslaved many years ago.

Later in the event, Ocasio-Cortez argued that climate change is “our World War II.”

She was attempting to argue that World War II — where over 60 million people were killed — is comparable to climate change, which was another push for her Green New Deal.

“I think that the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. And your biggest issue is, your biggest issue is how are we going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez began.

“I think for younger people, we’re looking at this are more like, how are we saying ‘let’s take it easy’ when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying ‘let’s take it easy’ when the nth person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?” she asked.

“How are we saying take it easy, when the America that we’re living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down. It’s a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, which would require the U.S. to completely get off fossil fuels within 10 years, would trillions of dollars.
