Sick vandals have trashed a memorial set up in the memory of Lee Rigby, who was murdered near to his barracks in South London.
Rigby was murdered on 22nd May 2013 after he was knocked down and hacked to death with a meat cleaver by two jihadis who were intent on murdering a soldier.
Thugs cut down memorial flags that were left by mourners and supporters and even stole a teddy which was left by Rigby’s son, Jack.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 11:44hrs on Thursday, May 18 to a report that flags at the Lee Rigby memorial in Hillreach, Charlton, SE15 – opposite the Royal Artillery Barracks – had been damaged, with some possibly stolen.
“Officers have attended and are making enquiries; a crime scene is in place.”
It is believed to have been vandalised as the anniversary of the horrific murder is coming up. What is England coming to when sickening stuff like this is going on?
