In Syria, government forces are shelling several areas, including the flashpoint city of Homs. Damascus says it’s conducting an anti-terror operation there, but activists are accusing the government of a massacre, and say hundreds of civilians have been killed over the past week. Syria’s under a foreign media blackout, making the reality on the ground hard to confirm. And the opposition isn’t making that any easier, as it argues over just how many people are being killed.
