During a stop in Miami to address the Venezuelan American community, President Trump blasted the Socialist leader of the country Nicolas Maduro, and promised support for Venezuela’s opposition leader.
“The twilight hour of socialism has arrived,” Trump declared, noting that fifty countries around the globe now recognise Guaidó as the legitimate leader of Venezuela and have a “shared interest” in stopping socialism.
“To those who would impose socialism on the U.S.,” Trump said, “we again deliver a very simple message: America will never be a socialist country.”
“Socialism has so completely ravaged this great country that even the world’s largest reserves of oil are no longer enough to keep the lights on,” the President added, vowing “This will never happen to us.”
